Floatworks to open biggest UK float centre

Floatworks, the UK’s leading float centre, is opening their second London site in June 2019. This follows the success of Floatworks Vauxhall, which is rated number “2 of 784 spas” in London.

The new Floatworks site on Essex Road in Angel will be the biggest dedicated float centre in the UK. Floatworks Angel will be equipped with six i-sopod floatation tanks, designed by original Floatworks founder, Tim Strudwick. Tim and the Floatworks team decided to launch the second site after high demand at their first site in Vauxhall.

Co-founder Ed Hawley says, “we built the site at Vauxhall because we were amazed at the physical and mental benefits of floating – from relaxation and stress relief to developing mindfulness practices, and more. We know so many people in London are also looking for these things, and we’re delighted that they’re now finding them at Floatworks. The only problem is not having enough sites to serve everyone that wants to float.”

“We’ve spent 3 years creating the best possible float experience for customers, and continue to hone what we do,” says Co-founder Chris Plowman. “We’re excited to be opening in Angel, and look forward making the benefits of floating accessible to many more people.”
